Call for papers | Special Issue on Holography

Guest Editor:
Prof. Dr. Małgorzata Kujawińska, Warsaw University of Technology

Deadline for Submission:
15th of November 2021

Dear colleagues,

We invite you to contribute a 3-page-long manuscript to a special edition of the Photonics Letters of Poland devoted to Holography.

Sixty years ago Yuri Nikolaevich Denisyuk (Reflection Holography), and Emmett Leith & Juris Upatnieks (Off-axis Holography) published their seminal papers. These works in many ways prepared the ground for Denis Gabor’s Nobel Prize, fifty years ago in 1971, for the invention and development of the holographic method in 1948. Denis Gabor, receiving the Nobel Prize, mentioned Mieczysław Wolfke, Polish physicist, as the person who proposed this method as early as 1920 (over 100 years ago).

This special issue of PLP is aimed to pay tribute to the great holographers and the anniversaries of Holography by presenting the recent achievements in holography.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

  • holographic metrology and non-destructive testing
  • holographic display technologies
  • holographic components
  • holographic applications in engineering, multimedia, cultural heritage preservation, environmental monitoring
  • holographic application in life sciences
  • further technologies stimulated by or using holographic principles

Please submit your letter online at http://photonics.pl/PLP/index.php/letters/about/submissions, specifying this special issue in the comments for the Editor in the first step of the submission process. The manuscripts should be prepared according to the guidelines presented in the template PLP_Template.doc.
The deadline for the submission is 15th of November, 2021. Each manuscript submitted will be peer-reviewed. More information about scope and review policy can be found at http://photonics.pl/PLP/index.php/letters/about/editorialPolicies.
The date of online publication is 31st of December, 2021.
